- A cup of almonds without salt in it. It will be better if the skins of the almonds are stripped.
- Cold water, 4 to 5 cups.
- If you are making honey mixed vanilla flavor, then 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of vanilla.
- Cheesecloth and
- Big pitcher.

Homemade Almond Milk – Process
To make the homemade almond milk, firstly, you will need to soak the almonds for 6 hours minimum. Less soaked almonds may serve you purpose, but the taste may not be similar to that you buy from market. If you want a pure color of your homemade almond milk, then you will have to peel off the skin of the almonds. However, beige almond milk is not at all bad if the preparation is your own.
Pour the soaked almonds in the blender along with the filtered water and mix it well. After a few moments of blending, you will find out that foams are heading up. This is when you will stop your blender and then you will need to mix the flavors.

Homemade Almond Milk – Finalization
Blend all these ingredients together again for around 30 second. Then, you will need to filter the mixture to get the homemade almond milk. For this you will need the cheese cloth. Cut the cheese cloth into four almost equal pieces and place them one under the other. Squeeze the cloth under cold water and place it over the pitcher. Slowly pour the mixture on the cloth and make sure to press the ground almonds that gather on the cloth. Scoop away the ground almonds if excess amount blocks the filtration.
